Deoxynivalenol

Deoxynivalenol is a naturally occurring mycotoxin, which is toxic for humans and animals. The vomitoxin is a mycotoxin produced by fungi of the Fusarium genus, e. g. fusarium culmorum and fusarium graminearum, which are abundant in various cereal crops (wheat, maize, barley, oats and rye) and processed grains (malt, beer and bread). Chemically it belongs to the trichothecene type toxins.

Zearalenone

Zearalenone (ZEA) is a mycotoxin produced by various fusarium species. In feed, it is adjacent to the toxin deoxynivalenol the most commonly found toxin in cereal samples. Zearalenone itself is toxic, but in the organism it can be converted into even more toxic compound (alpha- or beta- zearalenone).
