The addition of the reagent triggers the actual chemical derivatization of the analyte. For many applications either OPA/Thiofluor or Trione (Ninhydrin) are used, which Pickering Laboratories (presented by LCTech) offers in very pure quality.
The OPA/Thiofluor can be used for all forms of HPLC - post-column derivatization. It is especially odorless and so spares the user.
Trione is a reagent for the automatical post-column derivatization for primary and secundary Aminoes and Amino Acids. Trione Ninhydrin Reagent is a propriertary formulation containing Hinhydrin, Hydrindantin (reduced Ninhydrin), a Lithium Acetate buffer, and Sulfolane, a water-miscible organic solvent.
Two preparations are available to suit your usage and storage requirements: With T200 combine two solutions, swirl and use it. It has a shelf live of twelve months. Or pour T100C into your reservoir and use it. It has a shelf life of three months.
