The MycoTUM workshop, organised by TU München (Technical University of Munich), was aimed at showing the current status of manifold analysis of aflatoxins and ochratoxin A as well as regulatory and scientific aspects to laboratory technicians from South America, Africa and the Middle East.
The program was sponsored by the Directorate Trade of the European Commission. LCTech was glad to assume the practical and theoretical parts "Sample preparation by immunoaffinity columns" and "Post column derivatisation by HPLC". None of the technicians had any practical experience with immunoaffinity columns - nevertheless excellent recoveries were found at once even with difficult matrices (all > 90 %).
For all persons involved the workshop proved to be a successful and well-done event.
